REALTOR SERVICES

Ben Hudson is a lifelong Northern Neck local with a background that blends public service, construction expertise, and a deep understanding of waterfront living.
After graduating from Northumberland High School, Ben served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard before continuing a long career in the fire service. He later retired from the Fairfax County Fire Department as a Lieutenant specializing in Technical Rescue—an experience that shaped his steady, detail-oriented approach and ability to navigate complex situations with confidence.
Real estate and construction have been part of Ben’s professional life for decades. He earned his real estate license in the late 1980s and began building homes in 2002, focusing primarily on new waterfront construction.
That hands-on building experience gives him a strong understanding of site selection, structural quality, inspections, and what truly adds long-term value to a property.
As a lifelong resident of the Northern Neck, Ben brings deep local knowledge to every transaction—from hidden waterfront opportunities on the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers to rural properties with acreage. Buyers appreciate his trained eye for construction details, while sellers benefit from practical guidance on preparing a property for market.
Outside of real estate, Ben is well known locally for his love of barbecue. He operated NNK BBQ in Montross for eight years, cooking competition-style barbecue on stick-burner smokers.
Ben has been married to his wife, Jewel, for 35 years. He grew up in Northumberland County, and Jewel is from Colonial Beach, giving them deep roots throughout the Northern Neck. Ben brings experience, local insight, and a straightforward approach to every client relationship.
